RECAST 2000

Recast toys first started in Eastern Europe. They have since spread to Canada, Mexico, South America and the Antipodes, where they have been mixed in with the K00, K01, K02 and K03 series. The toys are called recast because they have been recast from "K" toys ranging from the K91 to K98 series, plus a few German sets. The papers often have no numbers on them. The same applies to the toys, which sometimes differ from their original counterparts, while at other times they are identical apart from having the K number removed wholly or partly. About the only originals among the recasts appear to be some jigsaws that feature the recast toys.

Recast toys are a bit difficult to classify because of their lack of cohesive numbering. All that can be said definitely is they do comprise a series in their own right. There are in fact four series of recast toys, and the toys listed below are from the first series, initially issued in Eastern Europe in 2000. Thanks to Kay Bundo for all my 2000 recast toys so far except 12.
