Kadee was born on July 10th, 1990. She was a beautiful little girl perfect in every way possible. Then came the worst day of our life. The day was August 10, 1992, our precious girl was two years old. That was the day she had a near drowning accident. She went an estimated 23 minutes with out oxygen. Because of this she suffered severe brain damage and went into a Coma.

After two months of intense therapy at a Head Injury Rehabilitation Hospital Kadee was starting to emerge from her coma. She sat up for 2 minutes with no support, was starting to swallow and react to my voice. It was a miracle in the making.

Then on October 14, 1992 we took her into the hospital for a routine CAT scan. It was then found she suffered a massive cerebral hemorrhage on both lobes of her brain. It was also found out that she suffered from severe Hydrocephalus. She was admitted to the hospital with the prognosis of terminal. She was not suppose to survive the bleed. She did, another miracle under my Kadee's belt, but she lost all she gained in therapy and more.

Today my Kadee remains in a Coma stage 2, or a PVS (permanent vegetative state). She has a tracheotomy and is fed by a G-tube. She cannot walk, talk, make any purposeful movements or even smile. Even with all this we have come to know her needs. She lives at home with all her family and is still the joy of my life.
