Aigle was the goddess of the radiance/splendour of good health. Greek parantage included Asklepios & Epione. Was the sister of Panakia, the cure all goddess, and Hygieia,, the goddess of health. Some sources say Aegle's parents are Nyx, goddess of the night and Erebus, the god of darkness. With Helios the sun God, she was the mother of the Graces. Aegle along with Arethusa, Erytheia and Hesperia were wood nymphs called the Hesperides, who protected Hera's golden apples |
