Drive by rules
drive by's were not always a big deal, in the dungeon's and such places (where a majority of the slaves are from) it's just normal practice.
For a while it was so in Gor, but now a great roar fills the country side and indignition is apparent by the Free who care enough to notice pre-said drive by's.
From a slaves point of view I have to say the Free are (cough cough) over re-acting in these cases.
I truly understand how annoying it must be to have a slave who doesn't bother to even say hello before she pops out again.
I however feel that it would be wiser to allow drive by's for several reasons.
1. The ones who matter will beg to be allowed to move on, not having found who she was looking for..
2. the ones we don't want in the room will often just leave without warning. all I can say for that is YES YES.. go away!
Gor, and all online communities, however exsist on the drama of this "second reality" that many a people entertain themselves with each day.
Drive by's have always been around, and will always be around. And in a few months when no one cares again the words will become lost for a bit... until the next generation that yells DRIVE BY!!!
Why are drive by's found so irritating and taboo? because a Gorean Room is a role play room. The room is the Gorean Home, Tavern, or Inn. The room is full of people who clearly state where they stand and how, where they sit. Much of the slave conversation is limited to serving, long detailed role play.
Keeping this in mind (and there will be a future essay defending my statement that Gor is Role play soon) then we see a slave who goes to the door and then say's (not literally we should hope) fuck this! Then they turn around and walk out the door.
How would you like it if you were a Free, a high arogant person, with not only a right to be, but a reason. Your proud and strong. Then a slave, someone who by nature may be meek or strong, but always submissive, blows off your home. Your pride, your pleasure.
Now can you see the anger issues?
This is an argument that happens many a times during the day. More than once analisa has been booted by yahoo after entering a home just to be IM'd by four or five men demanding she makes her way right back there. Which is what she was doing already, but now she has a room of angry Free.
Again I say this is way more trouble than it need be!
