The Mighty Morphin story...
10,000 years ago, the wise sage Zordon imprisoned Rita Repulsa - a ruthless space witch - along with her crew on Earth's moon.
In 1993, two astronauts accidentally free her and her gang - Goldar, Finster, Squatt & Baboo - and Rita swears revenge by conquering Earth.
Zordon - trapped in an inter-dimensional timewarp by Rita - takes immediate action within the Command Center. His aid, Alpha 5, quickly selects "five teenagers with attitude" - Jason, Zack, Billy, Trini & Kimberly - with innate abilities to training and take on Rita's forces as the first modern team of Power Rangers (the first since the ancient Samurai Rangers in Japan and the Wild West Rangers in Angel Grove).
With Rita's Moon Palace established and an army of Finster's Putty Patrollers, evil space aliens, sinister allies and her secret green trump card, the Power Rangers must quickly learn to use space-age weapons, collasal Zords and the power of teamwork, all while trying to get their homework in.

The Mighty Morphin story, continued...
The arrival of Lord Zedd - Emperor of Evil - and his evil space aliens brought forth the banishment of Rita, the destruction of both the Dinozords and the Green Ranger powers, and the arrival of his colossal planet-sized Zord - Serpentara.
To combat this new wave of danger, Zordon and Alpha 5 upgrade the entire fleet of Ranger arsenal from Thunderzords and a new Ranger leader with Tommy returning as the White Ranger. When Rita returns to join Lord Zedd, the Rangers find new allies in Rocky, Adam & Aisha who assume the powers of the Red, Black and Yellow Rangers as Jason, Zack & Trini depart.
With Lord Zedd & Rita combining their forces with upgraded Putty Patrollers, creating monsters from objects on Earth personal to the Rangers, and a sinister wedding, Tommy must lead his team through more danger than ever before- and try not to have their secret identities revealed by Bulk & Skull in the meantime.

The Mighty Morphin story, continued...
Rito Revolto, brother to Rita, arrives with new Tenga Warriors and leads an army of Finster's monsters to successfully tear apart the Thunderzords, which overloads the Rangers' link to the Morphin Grid and strips them of their powers.
The Rangers' reach back to the origins of their Power Coins and seek out their creator, Ninjor. With Ninjor's aid, new Ninja Power Coins are forged. With them, a new arsenal of Zords, new Ninja Ranger forms and abilities, and eventually Metallic Armor and Shark Cycles become available to use against elevated threats of evil.
When Master Vile, Rita and Rito's father and intergalactic conqueror, arrives to heat things up even more and reverse time, not even Bulk & Skull's new rank in the Angel Grove Junior Police department can stand in their way.
