This started back in May of '99. We (my family) got our computer. I had had use of a computer for several years before that, so I wasn't totally ignorant of how a computer worked, but I wasn't well educated in computers either. I knew the "basics" and that was about the extent it.
I started surfing the web and looking at all the different graphics and ways people designed their websites. It intrigued me and I wanted to find out how to do that myself.
Approximately 3 weeks after we got the computer, I had learned how to write HTML on my own. I did not have any classes or anyone to give advice. I viewed sources and looked at sites and studied how they did it.
By mid-June, I had my own website done - I was known as Angelgurly. Fairly well-known too, I might add. Well, eventually that website died. But the desire to make graphics and design websites still burned.
January of '00 I had my own business. I got PSP and started playing around and before I knew it, I was designing my own graphics.
I have a blast making graphics and designing websites, etc.. and helping other people do the same. I am now taking a few classes online at WebTech University to brush up/tone my skills, and to achieve more skills so that I can make my place on the web a better place for you! - :o) I love to learn - and I will never stop wanting to learn.
