Yawning.

I'm really tired today. This morning I had to be up early so I could attend a meeting in Allegan, which is a couple of hours southeast of here. It was a long miserable drive through a thunderstorm, and really the only reason I had to go there was that the staff onsite doesn't know diddly.

On a happier note, Leeloo stopped screeching! She finally relaxed enough to use her litterbox, and has been a happier, better-adjusted little cat ever since. She sat on Forest's shoulder for an hour yesterday, just purring to beat the band. Thank heavens. One more day of that, and she was getting put in the garage.

Tonight are parent-teacher conferences at Kirstin's school. I always dread the first one of the year, because it's when I find out just what sort of teacher I am dealing with. Up until now, I haven't talked to the teacher very often except to introduce myself. All I know about her is that she's strict and works the kids hard, which is fine. I am all behind that. However, tonight I may find out that she's a KKK member. Or I might find out that she's Mother Theresa. Kirstin's stepmom and I will both be going, so we might get attitude because we are a "broken home".

I hate that. I see nothing wrong with a kid having as many loving and caring parents as possible. Hell, a lot of the kids in the world could USE more positive adult influences.

Anyway, I will be a good sport, and very openminded, and hope she doesn't piss me off. I'm pretty tired, so she just might.
