Don't inhale.
Primer is bad for you. I learned my lesson this weekend. I had to rehang the moulding around one of my doors, so I had to repaint it. In the process of this, I decided to put another coat of primer and paint on the furniture and window frames in my bedroom.Of course I was thinking ahead, and didn't want to put fumes into the rest of the house, because my munchkin was home. So I closed my bedroom doors and opened a window, and put a fan in there blowing air in. I figured this would vent the fumes.
Well it didn't. Apparently. Forest got home at 9 p.m. and found me passed out on my bed, paintbrush in hand and wheezy. The storm window had slid shut, so the fan wasn't doing any good. He says the fumes in there were enough to make his eyes water. I couldn't smell them at all. Needless to say, I ended up sleeping on my couch while my room aired out last night, and I'm really grumpy because I have a monster headache from hell today.
So the lesson of the day is that you shouldn't ever breathe primer fumes.
