The test of the newly engaged.
Somewhere in the back of my mind there has been a little evil monkey (Mojojojo) cackling maniacally, and trying desperately to destroy the happy tranquility of Forest and I.
I know, Mojojojo; we're too perfectly blissful. Too peaceful. We make your green hair stand on end with our annoying togetherness and love.
Happily, the evil monkey wasn't successful, despite his attempt at germ warfare. It was miserable. Forest was sick. I got sick. He got restless and wanted to get out of the house right when I got weepy and didn't want to be left alone. We were in each other's constant miserable company for three uninterrupted days of yuckiness.
But I still love him dearly. So there, Mojojojo!
(Yes, Kirstin is into the Power Puff Girls, and I have been watching them a bit too often. Hmmph.)
Other than that there hasn't been much going on. My mom and I started planning wedding things already, although I had a lot of it started already. I've got the minister lined up, and have shared the idea of how the whole thing will play out with my mom, who thinks it sounds lovely, and was impressed by my thriftiness. (I think she's at least pleased that I've been keeping money in mind, and trying to not go too nuts.) I spent some of my free time this weekend getting quotes for this and that; tuxes and cakes and tents and all. It was pretty fun, although as always, everything is expensive, and there's no way for me to get them for a steal on Ebay.
I also spent some time this weekend just doing laundry. Everything in our house has that 'sick' feeling to it, because we had the windows closed and took steambaths and all that good stuff.
Mostly, though, I spent about 16 hours working at the Store. Forest's dad was out of town, and it was just Forest, Angie, and I the whole time. We had some fun discussions, and served a ton of small ice cream cones. I was glad to make a little money.
And for now, that's the tale of my life. I have to run off to the next commitment.
