"Oh Leighanne, what should I wear?" I asked as I dug through my suitcase.
"Denia, it's just a date with Nick," she replied calmly.
"Yeah, right. I've been waiting for this for almost two years now. I'm finally successful and can finally date him. It's a big deal!" I said as I pulled out a dark green satin dress. It went all the way to the floor and had a side slit that went to mid-thigh.
"That looks nice. It's his favorite color and that slit will definitely turn him on," said Leighanne as she went in search of shoes. "And these strappy stilettos are perfect," she said, pulling out matching shoes.
"You think?" I asked.
"I know," she said shoving me in the bathroom.
"Thanks," I yelled to her as I got changed. Today would finally be the night we had been waiting for. I giggle thinking about the shocked expression on Nick's face when he asked me this time, and heard me say yes. It was wonderful. I quickly slipped into everything and put on Ralph Lauren's Romance along with makeup. I had decided to leave me hair down, but I threw some gel in it and left it wavy. I emerged from the bathroom looking absolutely perfect for tonight.
"You look sensational, girl!" said Leighanne looking at me.
"Thanks. You helped me," I replied as I grabbed my purse.
"Are you ready?" she asked.
"I think so. Is there anything I'm missing?" I asked glancing around the room.
"Nope, you've got everything. Let's head over to Nick's room. I'll knock first and then get him all set and then you'll enter, when I tell you to. Got it?"
"Got it?" I replied. I quickly locked my room and we walked down the hall to Nick's room. Leighanne knocked on the door, as I stood far off to the side, so that I would not be seen.
"Hey Leigh," said Brian giving her a hug. "Where's Denia?"
"She's waiting. Is Nick ready?" asked Leigh.
"Yeah, we're just trying to get him relaxed. You want to come in?"
"Sure," she replied as Leighanne left the door open a crack. I heard them talking and then finally I heard her say, "Denia, come in."
I walked in slowly and I saw Nick dressed up in a nice blue satin suit with his hair dry and perfect like it usually was. His eyes were the bluest I'd ever seen them been. It was because of the fact that he was wearing blue. He had his jaw open a little bit and was trying to sputter something. I felt my stomach tumble around.
"Whoa! Denia…you…oh my…you," he stuttered.
"Come on, Frack. Talk," said Brian slapping him on the back. Nick gave him a dirty look, then looked back at me.
"You look beautiful, Denia," he said as he took my hand in his.
"You look wonderful too," I replied, as my eyes got lost in his. We just stood there lost in our own little world.
"Come on, lovebirds. You're reservations are waiting," said Brian interrupting us. Leighanne slapped him gently on the arm for ruining our moment.
"Well, I guess we'd better get going. We'll see you guys later," said Nick guiding me out the door.
"Bye Bri. Thanks Leigh!" I shouted as we left. We exited down the stairs and through a back entrance where a limousine was already waiting for us. We got in and started talking about what a wonderful future we would have together. Life could not get better than this.
