Chapter 1

"Denia, come on!" yelled Liz from my front door.

"Coming!" I screamed running down the stairs.

"Have you got everything?" asked Liz.

"By that you mean the tickets, right?" I asked my best friend.

"No duh!" said Liz. "You've got them, right?"

"Right! So let's go!" I said shoving her out the door. I locked it and we headed towards my Galant.

We were on our way to the biggest concert ever! Yup, you guessed it! N Sync! Nah, I'm just kidding wit you all. We're on our way to the Millennium concert. You know, as in the Backstreet Boys. Liz can't stand N Sync. She's a very nice person and all, but she literally hates N Sync. Who knows why? Maybe it's because she's dedicated her whole life to her beloved AJ and anything that can seem threatening to him, she gets tiffy about. Well, at least I don't act like that. What can I possibly tell you? Well, it is true. I am a Backstreet Boys fan, but then again which normal person isn't? Anyway, I do have a favorite and it's Brian. He's just got this sweet soulful voice that just blows me away.

Anyway, back to our night. We arrived at the Continental Airlines Arena in like 40 minutes! That's a record for us. We had to wait outside of course, since we were there like an hour early. They snapped those stupid wristbands on us and we headed on in to find our seat in the second row from the stage.

"Damn! These are some nice seats!" said Liz.

"Yea, for a hundred bucks a piece they should be!" I said taking out my camera.

"Don't sit down, Denia!" yelled Liz.

"Why not?" I asked her as I gave her a look.

"Cuz, you're not supposed to sit at a concert!" she exclaimed.

"Yea, I know that. Look at your watch, Lizzy. We are 30 minutes from showtime! I am not standing up the whole frickin' time!" I exclaimed.

"Come on, Denia. You've got to stand up and wave like an idiot!"

"Liz. We are at a concert. Yes, it's a BSB concert, but I ain't gonna be no fool waving for a frickin' half hour!" I said. "Besides, they'll probably be late."

"What! How dare you say that about them!" screamed Liz.

"Liz, get a grip! Yes, most concerts start late. Now calm the fuck down!" I said grabbing her shoulders.

"You're right! Thanks Denia!" she said giving me a hug.

"Hey, that's what friends are for! To shut you up when you need it," I said joking with her.

"Now, I think it's time for you to shut up," said Liz.

We went through a quiet moment after that. I just let my eyes wander around. The set looked nice. Nothing special. I turned around to see other fans holding up signs for them. I giggled.

"What are you chuckling about?" asked Liz.

"Oh, nothing." I said.

"Can you believe we're actually sitting this close!" said Liz excitedly. She looked like a three-year-old, with her blonde hair in pigtails. She could have easily passed for Nick's sister.

"Nope. I can't believe it!" I said starting to get excited. It was now 10 minutes from showtime and I couldn't wait.

"I hope I get to see A.J. He is so hot!" said Liz gushing.

"Okay."

"No, I really hope he sees me!" she said.

"Okay."

"No, seriously, I have to see him!" she said again.

"Why the fuck do you have to see him? I mean, I know you love the guy, but you're getting to be paranoid."

"Cuz I brought something for him," she said innocently.

"Oh no! What did you bring?" I said. "Your bra?"

"No way!"

"Then what?"

"This poem," she said, pulling out an envelope.

"What's the bulk?" I asked.

"Oh, nothing. Just a condom," said Liz turning away.

"What!" I yelled. "You are sick!"

"You are so gullible, Denia! It's a lollipop. It goes with the poem. It's a sweet for my sweet," she said.

"Oh Liz, you are so corny!" I said, rolling my eyes.

"Well, at least I show my love."

"And I don't?" I asked shocked.

"No."

"Well, I'm here. Aren't I?"

"Oh, never mind!" said Liz.

A thought just crossed me, we don't sound like best friends, do we? We're just like this. We are best friends though, it's just sometimes the excitement gets to us and we start acting crazy. You know.

"Five minutes," said Liz excitedly.

"Okay," I said. I didn't want to be a pain in the butt and say that they were probably going to be late. That'd be mean if I said it five minutes from showtime.

"Wow! This place is really filling up."

"No duh!"

"I'm so glad we got good seats!"

"Yea."

"Hi," said a brunette sitting in front of me.

"Hi," I replied.

"You excited?" she asked.

"Yea. You?"

"Yup! I'm Stacey and this is my friend Rebecca," she said introducing me to the girl sitting in front of Liz.

"I'm Denia and this is my best friend Liz," I said pointing to Liz.

"Nice to meet you," we all said in unison. We cracked up.

"Oh, I can't wait! It should be starting any minute!" said Rebecca.

"Yea!" said Liz excitedly. We kept talking for another 10 minutes. Guess what! I was right, the concert did start late. Anyway, Stacey and Rebecca are really cool!

"Who's your favorite?" I asked her.

"Brian," replied Stacey. The music began to start, so we both shut up and faced the stage. Liz was so excited she we jumping like a kangaroo.

"And now…The Backstreet Boys!" blared the announcer.
