(Next Day)
"Mrs., you look just like my best friend," I looked down at the pretty red headed girl who was studying my face.
"What did you say sweetie? I asked.
"My best friend, you look like her," I had seen this girl before. Oh yeah, she was in a lot of the photos of Ajahieanna that were in the envelope of pictures that A.J had given me. She must be Leela, Ajahieanna's best friend.
"Well I don't know her,"
"Yeah, If I didn't know that her Mom had died, I would have said you were her Mom,"
"Oh, well…I have to, or I'll be late for work, nice meeting you," I said leaving quickly.
"I think that woman is Ajah's Mom, she's probably an angel!" I heard the little girl say to her mother as she went into the doctor's office. I had wanted so bad to tell her that I was Ajahieanna's mother. But A.J. had made me promise to keep the fact that I was her mother between us. I had only seen her one time. I guess you're wondering why I just decided to pop back into the scene after 7 years. Well I don't know actually, I guess it sort of just clicked in my head exactly what I had done when I had finished college, and as a pediatrician, I had seen all the mothers with their babies, loving them. I saw the joy of loving something so much, and to have that something or rather someone, depend on you and return your love, I wanted that. And I could have had that. That's when I decided that I wanted my child after all; unfortunately A.J. didn't see it my way, who could blame him? But I had gotten that feeling that I hadn't felt in years when Iwas around A.J. yesterday. "Could it be possible that I still liked him, was still in love with him? No…of course not."
