= Amigos. Homemade gourmet. Heart warming soups, Thai chicken, chile, paninos (a baguette sandwich served in a basket), an ample selection of vegetarian dishes, good salads and tempting desserts complete the menu. German and Danish beer. 82 Zacateros.
= Andalucia. Pretty good paella, crab, shrimp, a clam, chicken legs etc. and good saffron rice. Breakfast. N$20 for breakfast, N$30 for a half order of paella which is ample.Near the Glorieta at the bottom of the Caracol, a few doors up from the Pollo Feliz.
= Aqui es Mexico. Music on Sunday nights starting around 9 pm. Upstairs over a pharmacy across from the disco El Ring.

= Bouquet: Build your own pasta dish with a selection of dressings and toppings (bolognese, pesto, parmesan, garlic, oysters, calamar, etc.) Pizza, stuffed crepes. A tiny place with only 4 tables. N$60-90. Cuadrante 34 (east of Hernandez Macias).

= Cha Cha Cha. A plate of sopes- little puffy tortillias, you pick the toppings you want. Tender chile relleno stuffed with mushrooms meat and cheese with rice and beans coffee flan. 28 de Abril #37 Norte(corner of Rosales) in Colonia San Antonio, they are opened 12:00 to 7:00- CLOSED on MONDAYS.
= Chamonix: Fusion cuisine. Great pastas! Great Vietnamese spring rolls.

= El Bikingo. Fish tacos. If they are closed, knock on the door and they will be happy to open for you. On Suspiros.

= El Naranjo Azul. Tiny and clean. Their soups are marvelous and the pastries are simply great. Also salads and sandwiches, high tea on Sundays. Full meals for N$35. Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri, 1:30 pm to 6:pm, Sat:

= Gombos is so good! Small beautiful place and small menu but the food is excellent. I have never eaten a thing there that wasn't perfect. Pizza, luncheon and dessert crepes. It is very clean and very small. No alcohol on the menu other than beer, though they will go out and buy you some wine at a nearby store. Inexpensive, too. Tatanacho 2, corner Canción India. (Col. = La Finestra. Really imaginative fusion cooking.
= La Grotta. roquefort, pepperoni and black olive special pizza, pasta. Cuadrante 5. 152-4119.

= La Trattoria. Spinach ravioli with gorgonzola sauce (Thursdays only), the garlic shrimp dish (really fine) and the mozarella, basil, tomato salad (ensalada Caprese). Generally expensive, but the spinach ravioli is worth 70 pesos (and more!). At the extreme north end of Ancha San Antonio, where it meets Zacateros and Codo.

= Tio Lucas. Melt in your mouth filet mignon, chateaubriand for two, really fresh fish and pasta with shrimp to die for. the portions are humongous, big juicy hamburger with french fries, chicken enchiladas.
