He vividly etches out scenes, tactically depicts battle sequences, breathes life to colorful characters and dreams up wondrous, magical plots. He is the masterful Terry Brooks. I consider his work among the best, as when I am reading any of his books, I can't tear my eyes from the pages. Mystery, suspense, humanity, love, perserverance, good and evil, family, endeavor and magic are all common elements of a Terry Brooks book. His work was that of which inspired me to write my own. His work was also what sparked my interest in the fantasy genre, and reading in general. I respect him on so many levels, and envy his clear writing talents. I plan to buy all of his books to come, as their preceders have all been unforgettable, magical tales, still etched in my mind today.
