Community  Involvement

I have always strived to be involved in my community, mostly by supporting various charities and community groups. In recent years I have danced with a group from Cheryle Bodrug’s Burlington Dance Company for the ‘Make a Wish’ charity at a mall in Burlington. As a member of the student council at the Faculty of Education, I worked on the social committee that organized the Daffodil Formal raising over $700 for the Canadian Cancer Society. Lastly in collaboration with a fellow student from the Faculty of Education I ran an aerobathon for the Canadian Cancer Society. This event consisted of three hours of group fitness competition, which was led by me and two other instructors. There were over 15 participants, who provided their own sponsors. In total we have raised $1200 for the Canadian Cancer Society. The pictures below show me leading the class at the aerobathon, and posing before the class with some of the participants and the other instructor.
