HOW DID WE START?

By: Ryan Joseph Urbano & Olga Marie Garcia

Created and maintained: Lovelia Ochoa-Rebosa

The history of our batch's group email started on the first week of January 2001 while we were preparing the itinerary for our first reunion in America.  We thought that it would be a good idea if we would just send emails to all batchmates who will be joining the said event for faster and more convenient communication.  Our idea was truly a success and the rest of the group were inspired to research other batchmates' email addresses.  We consider Rodney, Jason, Emma Ruth, Noel, Armel, Love and Cherry May as pioneers of the group email.  As of today, almost 50% of the batch are actively participating.  This has become exciting and informative because we are able to get in touch with batchmates from all over the world.  Also, this has enabled us to establish again the friendship we once had and rekindle the good old happy days.

After the group email was established, we thought of putting up our own official website.  Fortunately, Mrs. Lovelia Ochoa-Rebosa was just staying at home during those times due to her pregnancy and she had gladly volunteered to set it up.  It did not take long for her to put her ideas into motion.  By last week of January 2001, our batch website was fully functional and operational.  Recent photos of the alumni have also been posted here so we encourage all of you to browse through our site.

A couple of months passed after setting up the group email and our website, we are at the crossroad again of yet another important milestone for Batch '96.  This time, it is our own official newsletter entitled, "THE NIGHTINGALE".  We are aware of the patience, time, effort and commitment placed forward in gathering the most recent and up-to-date information about who, what, when, where and how of our batchmates.  It is for these reasons that our newsletter has evolved ... to share ideas, thoughts, updates and job opportunities to all Batch '96 worldwide

Our message to all Batch '96, we hope to continue in keeping the friendship and love we have for one another in our thoughts and in our hearts!

     More power to us all!
