"Mom, me and Mira are gonna go out to dinner tonight," Taylor told his mother coming into the living room.

"Alright," she agreed pulling the pink thread through her cross-stitching. "Where is she?"

"She’s getting ready," Taylor said sitting on the couch next to Zoe.

"You’re all dressed up," Jessica noticed walking into the living room popping open a can of Sprite.

"Not really," Taylor blushed shifting as he pulled on his khaki pants.

"Yes you are," Diana looked up smiling.

"Do you have a date?" Jessica asked plopping herself on Taylor’s lap.

Taylor laughed defensively. "Mom, I just said I was going to dinner with Mira, didn’t I?"

"You and Mira are going out on a date?" Jessica asked smiling.

Diana smiled to herself looking back down at her needlepoint.

"So what if we are?" Taylor playfully squeezed the sides of Jessica’s face.

"Aww, how cute!" Jessica squealed.

"I like your nail polish," Avery told Mira sitting on the lid of the toilet in the guest bathroom.

"Thanks," Mira smiled running a blush brush across her cheeks. "So," she sighed turning to face Avery. "Do I look okay?" She smoothed down her knee length black spaghetti strap dress.

"Yep. But is Taylor really worth getting so dressed up for?" Avery scrunched up her nose.

Mira laughed and looked in the mirror. "Yeah, it is a little much for a first date." She bit down on her bottom lip and raised her eyebrows.

"Date?" Avery laughed. "Do you like him?"

Mira laughed and searched the drawer for a necklace. "Yeah I like him."

"Like him, like him?" Avery asked.

"Yes she likes him, likes him," Zac grinned appearing in the doorway to the bathroom.

"Ahhh!" Mira laughed covering her face with her hands. "You guys are making me nervous."

"No, don’t be nervous," Avery stood up. "You guys will have fun. Just think of it as any other time you hang out together."

"Yeah, with a big fat kiss at the end," Zac added.

"Zachary," Mira gave him a warning look. "You’re not helping." She fastened the silver necklace that Taylor had given her almost four years ago around her neck. "Okay, what am I missing?" She asked looking at herself in the mirror.

"Um, shoes," Zac said.

"Oh yeah," she laughed heading out of the bathroom. She went to her room slipping on her black shoes. She took a baby blue cardigan with 3/4 length sleeves out of the closet and put it on over her dress. "Alright," she said coming out of the bedroom. "It is all good. And I’m out of here."

"Bye," Avery said as Mira descended the stairs.

"You crazy kids have fun,’ Zac called out. "And tell Taylor he can’t make a habit of taking my car."

"Bye," Mira laughed. She made her way into the living room and found Taylor sitting on the couch watching TV twirling the keys to Zac’s car around his index finger. "Hi," she nervously greeted.

"Hey," Taylor smiled when he noticed her.

"Sorry I took so long," Mira apologized.

"It’s quite alright," Taylor said and stood up. "Bye Mom," Taylor waved and led Mira to the door.

"Bye you guys. Have fun," Diana said as they walked out the door.

"Now would it be too much of a first date cliché to say that you look very nice tonight?" Taylor grinned and opened the passenger side door for her.

"Not at all, as long as you’re honest," she smiled.

"Very honest," he told her.

"Well thank you. You don’t look so bad yourself," she said.

"Oh it’s nothing," Taylor said and sliding into his seat and closing the door.

"So if you decide to turn this into a movie, would you film it in London?" Taylor asked before taking a bite of his lasagna.

"I have no idea," Mira replied stopping to sip her water. "The script’s not even done yet so who knows."

"You’re not gonna let me read it?"

"Not until it’s finished," she smiled. "It’d be awesome to be on location in London though, wouldn’t it?"

"Definitely," he nodded.

"We’ll see. I still have a whole year of school left."

"You know what?" Taylor asked draping his arm around Mira’s shoulders on the way out of the restaurant.

"What?"

"I’m so, so glad you kissed me last night," Taylor admitted.

"Really now?" She smiled. "Cause I thought I freaked you out."

"More like, caught me off guard," he said pressing the automatic un-lock button on his key chain.

"Well you know me."

Taylor laughed. "Sometimes," he said opening her door. He walked over to his side and stepped in. "So, where to now pretty lady?" he asked.

"I don’t know." She leaned her head back against the seat and looked over at him. "Thank you for dinner."

He looked back at her and took her hand lacing his fingers between hers. "My pleasure."

The intensity in the car was too much for Mira. She turned her head breaking the silence with laughter.

"What is it?" Taylor laughed. "What is it about me that makes you laugh?"

"I’m sorry," she giggled.

"You make me self-conscious."

"Aww, come here, you," she smiled leaning in to kiss him. He met her half way releasing her hand and brushing his fingers up her cheek into her hair. As his tongue found hers, Mira ran her hand up Taylor’s thigh. "Mm," she pulled away slowly. "Yay," she cheered quietly keeping her face close to his.

"What?" He laughed.

"You’re so cool," she said just above a whisper.

"You just figured that out?" He asked before giving another kiss.

"I gotcha," she grinned poking him in the stomach. "You’re mine."

"You got me," he smiled.

"That scares the hell out of you, doesn’t it?"

"Not at all," he said.

"You’re lying," she playfully slapped his leg.

"I’m not scared," he laughed. "I’m...I’m cautious."

"That’s fine," she said.
