hospitals in the region, Deaconess employs

Deaconess Gateway Hospital serves this region's
growing health care needs by providing a full
range of acute-care services – a convenient
choice for your inpatient and outpatient health
care needs.

Located near I-164 and the Lloyd, Deaconess
Gateway Hospital is an expansion of the main
Deaconess Hospital campus in Evansville, Indiana;
offering the same dedicated, quality care you
expect from Deaconess.


Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center:

Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center
offers a full range of acute medical services
in a 131-bed facility.

As a regional health center with nearly 70 active staff
physicians and more than 1,000
employees, the hospital serves Dubois and
surrounding counties in southwestern Indiana.
This Catholic hospital was founded in 1951
and is sponsored by the Sisters of the Little
Company of Mary, Inc.Annually, the staff
provides medical care for
more than 130,000 outpatients and 7,200 inpatients.
More than 850 babies were born at
Memorial Hospital in 2005.

The hospital was recently honored with
the "100 Top Hospitals" award from Solucient,
an independent hospital bench-marking organization
. Of 6,000 hospitals nationwide, Memorial Hospital is one of just 100 hospitals to be selected for
this distinction, which recognizes performance
in nine key measures including clinical outcomes,
patient safety, operational efficiency, financial
results, and service to the community.
