Baltimore Drum-N-Bass @ Patchwerk.org
Hello, hello. Well what can I say about Drum & Bass in Baltimore? It's thriving under the ultra-dedicated super-girl marvelous Dj Simetra. Cortney is the record buyer for the kick-ass Music Liberated record shop located on Seratoga Street. Above this, she manages the Music Liberated mailing-list, and put's on a weekly event appropriately named 'Rebirth' across from the Charles Theater @ The Depot. I really can't say enough about this off.the.hook woman. She really holds it down on & off the wheels of steel. Aside from Simetra's shenanigans, there are the headz of the Syndrome Crew keepin' it live. My man Eric aka IllEffect is pushing the frontiers of the Hip-Hop, Turntablist, Slam-poetry, art fusion kind of party. Then there is, Bryan (aka Akasha) of the Syndrom Crew doing a lot of dope and dynamic production right here in B-More. As for the MC's chattin' up the dancehall you may catch Mike aka MC InsuWRECKtionist of the Syndrome Crew, or the talented Illy MC, or even the extremely passionate rhyme sayer MC Son of Nun. Stay tuned as I add more links and information on the Baltimore Drum & Bass underground.
