What is LC*PR?
LC*PR stands for Laura Claffey, Public Relations (Publicity). I am a freelance publicist, and I do publicity for things country music related: artists/bands, books, auctions, etc. I am a Belmont University graduate. I interned for a year with a independent label, and for a short period of time with a public relations firm. I have been doing full publicity since 2001.

What is Publicity House?
Publicity House was founded in 2002 by Sharon Eaves (Fan-Club House) and Laura Claffey. We offer full tour press that is affordable to artists of every status. For a "by-the-date" fee, we strive to put the artist's face in every form of media available in the touring area.

What will LC*PR do for me?
With the internet being what it is, I do a lot of my stuff on there. I get links/banners on websites, interviews and CD reviews with ezines and print magazines, etc. I also send CDs to internet radio, overseas radio, and we are starting to make our contacts on radio stations in the States. I also help out with finding gigs: clubs, fairs, festivals, etc. However, I am not a booking agent, so I do not actually book the gig for you; I send you the information once the venue has shown interest. Once the show is booked, I contact the newspapers in that area to cover the show. Basically, whatever we can do to create a buzz.

What will Publicity House do for me?
A few weeks to a month prior to the tour date, we contact the media for that area. Sharon handles radio, while Laura handles print. We discuss different options with them: interviews, calendar listings, articles, concert reviews, and various promotions for radio.

How much will this cost me?
LC*PR's fees are very low - $300 per month on retainer, where I cover both the day to day duties of mailing cds, contacting media, as well as keeping your press kit up-to-date with a bio, clippings, etc. Or, we can work out a negotiable per-job basis. Both are plus expenses.
Publicity House's rates are also very low - $50 per date (or $25 per date for only print OR only radio), plus expenses.
