From 0 to 1

-I was just really feeling like I had gone so far, just to have really gone such a little step from where I began when I did this. Making it, I felt as if this were a true state of things- although it feels like a hundred miles, it's still your front door right behind you.

-Another one of those great shower songs, I suppose. I don't have a running media player here so that I can give some deep musical insight as to what it was that I liked about this song so much, but, I do recall most of the story. I wasn't merely near the end of that day (even though I think that's why I named it as I did), but it was near the end of thinking one way, and starting to live another. Alot of the songs demo'ed here are all from that point in my life last year in which things were going from one familiar extreme to another, and I feel that this one just captures the shimmer behind it all. Or maybe, I'm just too damn tired to think of anything more clever.

-A tune started to pull itself out of my head one saturday (4-20-02) morning, and it was begging to be associated with something. Then, I remembered a saturday from a few weeks before that, and, without getting too deeply into personal detail, feel that this song pretty much nails the coffin shut on how I felt that morning. I hope this helps explain anything, or nothing. Just thought you should know.
