Kevin James Tracy is one
of the five Class Senior Representatives in Chesterton High School.
Over the past few years, he has earned a reputation as a defender of the
laws and principals which have governed this great nation for over two
centuries, a talented artist, proud Roman Catholic, and an all around fun
guy to talk and hang around with who has a comment on almost everything.
Kevin Tracy was born on February 22, 1984 in Munster
but spent the first three years of his life in Calumet City. He is
also the eldest child in the immediate family. He attended a pre
school near the old Chesterton High School for a couple of years then started
elementary school at Bailey on 5th street. His best friend through
the earlier years of elementary school was quite a contrast to Kevin, he
failed kindergarten twice before moving. Kevin had already begun
making new friends and the process never stopped. He attended Westchester
Middle School and graduated in 1998 to go on to high school like much of
the rest of the 2002 class.
This year, Kevin has been a part of the German
and Chess clubs like last year. Though the Computer club has been stopped,
Kevin still visits Mrs. Girkie and is the chief web master for the BPA.
Kevin has been an extremely outward person in Student Action For the Environment.
Though his Republican views may not always be welcome by the majority of
Democrats and liberals in S.A.F.E., the other Republicans and nonpartisan
members note his bipartisanship. He was also the web master of the S.A.F.E.
web site at http://safe.webdare.com.
He stopped work on it when the BPA, "a more Republican club,"* requested
his help. Josh Michaels was left in charge of S.A.F.E.'s online operations.
Being the most outspoken, Kevin is seen as the leader of the Republicans
in S.A.F.E. and is often the target of many leftist attacks, which Kevin
and his conservative friends manage to dodge every time.
After graduation, Kevin plans on leaving for Basic
Training in the Air Force. His decision has been met with resistance
from both friends and family, but Kevin is determined to serve his nation
and make a career of it. To him, the Air Force has been both a calling
and a sense of duty. On September 11th, the free world was awoken
to the fact that our freedom was despised by others in the world and it
has been under attack for years. Kevin then, like all other red blooded
Americans saw his local recruiter within weeks.
College is still an option for Kevin and that
will open doors for Kevin after his retirement from the Air Force. He hopes
the door is one that leads to a life of politics, but that is for voters
to decide decades in the future.

member why Kevin left one meeting for a BPA one in November of 2001.
