Minister Svendsen is truly a Green Republican.  He cares so much about the environment and the natural resources in it that Representative Tracy had to hire him. It wasn't easy however, Carl gave quite a big fight demanding a more mercenary type role.  But in the end, he was convinced to become the Minister of the Exvironment.

Carl understands that we need to protect the environment from the Environmentalist wackos who threaten those who try to enjoy it, much like lumberjacks, miners, and clearcutters. After all, what is the point of having trees that just die and rot?

Instead, as many green Republicans believe, Carl supports the "borrowing" from the environment that is going on and actually wants to expand trade with the environment because it is proving to be a very economical relationship. For example, we cut down the trees and it creates more jobs - the trees then can be made into different wooded or paper goods, including money.  And what could be better than actually being money? Spending it, and that's what we do.

Also, do u like having zits?  No, neither do we.  So by drilling the oceans and land for oils, we are basically popping zits for mother nature. Meanwhile we take the puss and use it for our fuel.  Again, we are saving the environment from missing out on some great opportunities.

Minister Svendsen makes sure every week that Kevin misses out on none of these opportunities.
