SECRETARY TRACY: I come before you today in embarrassment. The web page
we made for the BPA sucks. I don't know how we got to be one of the top
12 in the state that were selected... unless there were only 12 in the
state.
We started work on it perhaps 2 weeks before the deadline, we had perhaps
2 months. As a matter of fact, we only really worked hard the last
week.
I'm not sure how Josh, Jake, and Brian feel about it, but we did get
very lucky. The page is not as flashy as this one, nor is it as detailed.
I made one pretty picture on the front. The layout is similar to
the layout on this site, only its smaller. There is a navigation
bar on the left with graphical buttons. Like with this page, a lot
of it info behind the buttons is BS. Not lies, just information we basically
copy pasted from all over the internet. The cool things about these buttons
is that they are mouseovers and they highlight when the mouse goes over
them. But that's about it.
Other than those buttons and the thing on the front page, all the pictures
are free clip art that Brian took from all over the net. With all
the backtracking looking for authorization for the clip art, I probably
could have made all the graphics.
In all honesty, the four of us planned on going to state with something
that wasn't the web site. Except Brian, but he had to wash the Girk's
dishes. I mean, I thought (along with the other people in our chapter)
that my computer generated graphic was going to place 1st at districts.
It placed 4th and only the top 3 went to state.
Same with everyone else on the web team. We weren't relying on
this web site to send us to State. We just got lucky it did.
Our web page sucks. We probably aren't going to
nationals.
If you want to see it, go to the Chesterton High
School site and click on the Business Professionals of America link then
click on the Web Team link. I'd tell you the exact address, but I
really don't want people to see it. It is awful compared to this web site
