Caineworld: The Caine Interviews & More

The online interviews are here.

Greetings.

For 6 years, a TV interview show has been running regularly on Community Access Television (Channel 18, CAT TV) in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The show is The Caine Interviews, and the host is Shannon X. Caine.

The TV show is still very much in production and airing, but we feel it's time to bring the basic idea of the show online. One recurrent problem is that there are many interesting guests we'd like to get on the show, but distance prevents it. Online, though, the problem is instantly solved. Distance is no barrier. If we want to interview someone in Asia, no problem. We don't have to drag them to a TV studio in Arkansas; we simply exchange e-mails.

The concept is so easy, in fact, that we're insane for not having done it earlier.

This is not a webcast. That may happen eventually, but for now, the interviews will appear in a simple text format. Just think of it as an extension of the television show. It's a way of hearing the opinions of people who, for whatever reason, can't come to the studio (again, distance is a factor, as well as shyness, etc--believe it or not, not everyone enjoys sitting in front of TV cameras).

This is a very new site, so there won't be a lot of interviews just yet. But rest assured that we're working on it, and new interviews are coming in. Some of the interviews will actually be brief "mini-interviews", whereas others will be full-length.
