After crossing
the stone bridge that spans the river Sandulwine, you approach the massive
iron gate that protects the entrance to the castle.
"Halt
! what business do you have?" One of the
guards on the gate watch calls out to you.
You announce
that you are just a traveler passing through this land and are in need
of shelter for the night. You ask if the lord of the castle is in and you
respectfully request an audience with him.
"Aye
Sir Margan
is here, follow me."the
guard replies. The gate is raised allowing you entry. After leaving your
weapons at the gatehouse, you fall in step behind the guardsman as he leads
you into the castle proper. After walking down a multitude of corridors
you finally come to a stop in front of a massive oak door.
"Wait
here while I ask if he will see you."
the guardsman instructed. After he entered the room you focus on the two
sentry's that stand watch on each side of the door. They pay no mind to
you as they stand at attention ready to repel any unwanted guest . A short
time goes by, the door opens and you are beckoned inside."Sir
Margan makes ready to leave on business in Shadowcrest but he will see
you quickly."
