Our Humble Beginnings...

The Innermoppet began around 3 years ago when I (Phelicity9) had knee surgery and all I could do was stay in bed, or get to the computer. I started recieving a Buffy newsletter, and I thought hey, I have nothing to do, why not research stuff and and make it easier for people who don't have time on their hands to have access to knowledge about this show. And so it began, I adverstised on web boards and researched day and night anything you ever wanted to know about Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its cast. We started off with I think 11 members and at its end, the Innermoppet had some 3,000 members and 4 to 5 versions of the newsletter just to make sure every Internet user was able to view the letter.

Cordelia: I can hold my own. You know, we've never really been close, 
which is nice, 'cause I don't really like you that much, but... you have
on occasion saved the world and stuff, so I'm gonna... do you a favor. 
Buffy: And this great favor is... 
Cordelia: I'm gonna give you some advice. Get over it. Buffy: Excuse me? 
Cordelia: Whatever is causing the Joan Collins 'tude, deal with it.
Embrace the pain, spank your inner moppet, whatever, but get over it. 
'Cause pretty soon you're not even gonna have the loser friends you've got now. 
Buffy: I think it's about time you start minding your own business. 
Cordelia: It's long past. 

And as far as MOPPET goes, it's the long version of the word mop. This is my favorite conversation from all of the Buffy episodes and it's also my favorite episode. So I chose it for a name, and I think it's unique.

We've come to the end...

Today Buffy's Innermoppet™ no longer sends out issues due to the stress and mental obstacles that my life has presented. But I have loved every minute of every hour that I spent working on this newsletter and talking with it's members. I feel like I have made over 3,000 good friends and its an very comforting feeling to know that so many kind people exist in this world. Thank you to all of the members and sister newsletters for your support, your time and your patience. I will do my best to keep the site going, out of respect to all the members and to a show that brought me alot of fun and entertainment. I still watch the show and enjoy just being able to sit back and watch and not have the deadlines of a newsletter.
