Do you not know? Have you not heard that the LORD is the everlasting GOD, the Creator of the ends of the earth?  (Isaiah 40:28)

Do you not know? Have you not heard that man's basic need is to know GOD; that man's deepest hunger is to know GOD; that man cannot know himself or this world unless he knows GOD?

Do you not know? Have you not heard that sin and salvation, death and life, law and love, judgment and forgiveness, time and eternity can only be seen in their proper perspective when we view them in relationship to GOD?

It is so sad -- we do not recognize our hunger for GOD.  We search frantically for an understanding of life.  We seek to satisfy the hunger of our soul with material things.  We base our hope on philosophies and psychologies and theologies and the teachings of men.  We achieve Associate Degrees, and Baccalaureate Degrees and Master Degrees and P.H.D.'s only to find the hunger of the soul growing and growing and growing...

When will we learn that this hunger of the soul, this hunger of the heart is the hunger to know GOD?  When will we learn that all of life is from GOD -- and in GOD lives all meaning and all purpose?

Do you not know? Have you not heard that if a man does not know GOD, he is lost?  So the question that we find ourselves asking is, "How can we know GOD?  How can I know God?  How can I know GOD for myself?"

It would help us a great deal to know that before man searches for GOD, GOD is already searching for man.  Let me put it another way.  Before I was looking for GOD, GOD was looking for me.  JESUS made it quite clear that it is the shepherd who goes out into the wilderness looking for the lost sheep.  (Matthew 18:12-13)

GOD is closer that our hands or our feet.  GOD is nearer than breathing.  We do not find GOD in some far off land or in some strange place or in some mysterious breath-taking moment!  GOD is found when we allow HIM to find us.  You see, we come to know GOD as we allow ourselves to be found by GOD.

Do you not know? Have you not heard that we can know GOD as a person?

GOD is not a physical person, but HE is a Person.  GOD is not a man, yet HE is a Person.  GOD is more than we in our limited knowledge can understand, yet HE is a Person.

In the beginning GOD ...  a Divine Person... created...

GOD is a Person and as a Person, HE loves, HE cares, HE intimately knows us, HE shares our concerns, HE longs to bring us within the scope of HIS design.

GOD is not only a Person, HE is a Spirit.  GOD is a Personal Spirit.  GOD as a Person knows me as a person.  The very hairs of our heads are numbered.  GOD not only knows how many, HE knows the location of hair number 201.  (Matthew 10:30) GOD has all knowledge, all power, and all perfect love.  GOD is a Personal Spirit who knows you as a person.

Do you not know? Have you not heard that we can know GOD as our Father?

GOD is our Father -- we are HIS sons and daughters because JESUS is our Brother and Savior.

The Fatherhood of GOD, the brotherhood of man, the Savior-hood of JESUS CHRIST.  When we accept JESUS CHRIST as our Savior-- when we commit our will and our ways to HIM -- when we commit our will and our ways to the leadership of the HOLY SPIRIT -- when we come to love GOD with all or our heart , all of our soul, all of our mind, and all of our strength -- when we give ourselves to the keeping of the commandments of CHRIST -- we are children of GOD -- born from GOD.  GOD is our Father.  JESUS is our Savior and Brother.  The HOLY SPIRIT is our leader and guider.

Do you not know?  Have you not heard that we accept GOD?

GOD never forces Himself on us.  We choose to be in sin if that is what we desire.  GOD longs for us... GOD loves us... It breaks His Heart when we rebel.  But, HE will not bring us out of sin against our will.  As many as receive HIM -- this is the condition (John 1:12) -- whosoever shall -- this is the requirement.  (Acts 2:21)

Do you not know? Have you not heard that we can know GOD as our Companion?

GOD gives us genuine Divine-human friendship.  "Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world." (Matthew 28:20) 

The more we know GOD, the more we love GOD; the more we love GOD, the more we know GOD... Knowledge and Companionship -- Companionship and Knowledge -- they both come by Faith.  Knowledge, Companionship, Love and Faith...  We know GOD through Faith.  We love GOD through Faith.

Do you not know?  Have you not heard that GOD's redemptive love is unconditional?

GOD's redemptive love is universal.  No one is excluded.  No person is left out.  No race is barred.  No individual is denied.  No condition of life can destroy GOD's love for us.  There is absolutely nothing that any of us can do that would stop GOD from loving us. (Romans 8:38-39)

Do you not know? Have you not heard that nothing we could ever do would cause us to deserve GOD's love? And nothing we could ever do would destroy GOD's love.

We may refuse the benefits of GOD's love.  We may turn our backs upon GOD's love.  We may reject GOD's love entirely, but HE goes on loving us.  You see, HE sent HIS son to save us, and that cannot be changed.

"For GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For GOD sent not HIS Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through HIM might be saved." (John 3:16-17)

This is the GOOD NEWS.
