In the Body of Christ there is Unity of Belief and Mission – we are laborers together with God and each other.
In a response of faith in Jesus Christ, our mission is preaching the Good News throughout the United States and the world because the people throughout the world are a viable part of our mission.  Our responsibility is to witness and evangelize because Jesus’ command compels us to witness and evangelize.  As members of the Body of Christ, we respond in acceptance to take the Gospel throughout our region and to the utter most parts of the world.

Our Statement of Faith

In order to speak the same, we must believe and hold the same basic Christian doctrines.

We believe in the

• Trinity (three-oneness) of God: There is one God; there are three eternally distinct and equal persons in the Godhead, existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; each is distinct from the other, yet the three are united as one God;  three coeternal divine persons who share one divine essence.

Mark 12:29-30   And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:  (30)  And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

Matthew 28:19   Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Galatians 4:6  And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

• Humanity of Christ Jesus: Jesus Christ - God in human flesh, the perfect God; the perfect man... He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a woman - the Virgin Mary; He grew and developed as other human beings; He is 100% man; He is the manifestation of God that became flesh.
  
  

Matthew 1:23   Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Luke 2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.

Hebrews 4:15   For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

• Identity, Deity and Divinity of Christ Jesus: Jesus Christ - God in human flesh, the perfect God; the perfect man... He is a Person in the Trinity;  He is the Son of God; He is to be worshipped as God, for He is God. He is 100% God.
  
  

John 1:1   In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Hebrews 1:8   But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom.

Matthew 14:33   Then they that were in the ship came and worshiped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

John 5:23-24   That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not the Father which hath sent him.   (24)   Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Colossians 1:16-17   For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:  (17)  And he is before all things,and by him all things consist.

• Redemptive Blood Atonement: His pure sinless blood sacrificial death was the Atoning Sacrifice for Mankind's sins; He established the way of salvation for the human race; Eternal life and all of promises of God are provided by the Blood of Christ Jesus and His Redemptive work on the Cross
  
  

John 3:16-17   For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  (17)  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Romans 3:23-26  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;  (24)  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:  (25)  Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;  (26)  To declare, I say at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Romans 6:23   For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

• Life, Death, Resurrection, Ascension and Return of Christ Jesus:  Jesus lived on earth; Jesus died and was buried; Jesus Christ's body resurrected from death; He ascended to heaven, and is now in Heaven; He is coming again and we eagerly wait for the glorious event of Jesus Christ's Return for His Church.
  
  

John 19:33-37   But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they broke not his legs: 

Matthew 28:6   He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Romans 6:9-10   Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.  (10)  For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

Acts 1:9-11   And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.  (10)  And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;  (11)  Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

• Deity of the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is a Person of the Trinity; He is God living in and among believers; He is God at work in believers.
  
  

John 3:5   Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 12:13   For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

2 Corinthians 1:22   Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

Acts 4:8   Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel . . .

Romans 8:26-27   Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.  (27)  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

• Doctrine of Salvation: There is Heaven and there is Hell. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God; We cannot save ourselves; All are in need of salvation; Salvation is available only because of Jesus Christ. It is not the Church who saves; it is Jesus Christ.
  
  

John 14:6   Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 10:7-10   Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.  (8)  All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.  (9)  I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.   (10)  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Acts 3:19   Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Romans 5:8-9   But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  (9)  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Ephesians 2:8-10   For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  (9) Not of works, lest any man should boast.  (10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

• Inspiration and Authority of Scripture: The Old and New Testament Scriptures are the divinely inspired Word of God.  The Holy Scriptures are our guide in all matters and the ultimate authority for the Church.
  
  

John 1:1-14   In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  (2) The same was in the beginning with God.  (3) All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.  (4)  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  (5)  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.  (6)  There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.  (7)  The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.  (8)  He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.  (9)  That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.  (10)  He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.  (11)  He came unto his own, and his own received him not.  (12)  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:  (13)  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  (14)  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

2 Timothy 3:16-17   All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  (17)  That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

John 17:17   Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

• The Body of Christ consists of all those who have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior: The Church is the Living Body of Christ and consists of all genuine followers of Christ Jesus. Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church. Jesus Christ is our Lord and we submit to Him. As followers, we are children of God, and we have the Holy Spirit in our lives.
  
  

Ephesians 4:1-16   I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,  (2)  With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;  (3)  Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.  (4)  There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;  (5)  One Lord, one faith, one baptism,  (6)  One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.  (7)  But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.  (8)  Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.  (9)  (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?  (10)  He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)  (11)  And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  (12)  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:  (13)  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:  (14)  That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;  (15)  But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:  (16)  From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
