Chapter 4   

      Jen got free of Kevin's grasp and kept running out the door. Kevin started running after her, but stopped after a few steps. "What was that all about?" he asked to Natasha.

      "They broke up."

      "How do you know?"

      "I'm her friend, I know these things."

      "Oh, yeah"


      Meanwhile in Howie and Sarah's room, they were playing a rousing game of Tongue Twister.


      In Nick and Cassie's room, well, er, um, well, as they say on TV, rated G (and we don't wanna lose that).


      In Brian's room he had calmed down and was still sobbing a little. He kept thinking about Janice, in his mind it was Janice, Janice, Janice, but now it was no Janice, no Janice, no Janice.


      In the den A.J. was watching a late night TV show. He was sad but he thought TV would make it all better. It didn't.

      Later, in Kevin and Natasha's room they were just talking about what happened.

      "Okay, so Jen is gone?"

      "Yes."
 
    "A.J. must be so sad, let's go comfort him."

      "Okay."

      They crept out of their room trying not to wake anyone (not knowing everyone was awake) and knocked on the door of A.J.'s room. No one answered. They knocked again, no one answered again. "He's probably asleep."

      "Okay, let's not wake him then."

      "Okay, hey, I'm sort of hungry, would you like to go and get a snack, watch a little TV in the den?"

      "Okay."

      They crept down to the kitchen, where they met up with Howie and Sarah.

      "Hi guy's" Kevin said as they came in (Howie and Sarah didn't see Kevin and Natasha come in, they were still playing tongue twister)

      "Oh, uh, hey!" Howie said hoping they would leave.

      "We were going in the den to watch TV, wanna come?"

      "Sure" Sarah said before Howie could say no.

      They all walked across the huge living room to the den, opened the door, it wouldn't budge, "I'll go get the key." Howie said as he ran to the kitchen. He came back a few seconds later with some jingling keys in his hand. "Okay, I'm not sure which one it is, I guess we'll have to try all of them." The third one they tried worked. When they got inside they found A.J. in the corner.

      "Oh! A.J., you scared me! We thought you were asleep." Sarah said.

    "I'll never sleep again, NEVER!" he said with a shake in his voice.

      "Oh, you're so pale! Get out of that corner, you'll get sick!" Natasha said in her motherly voice.

      "I'll freeze."
