Stepping into the energy field, you are whirled through some kind of time/space passage. Just as you are starting to get airsick, the force field drops you off somewhere. You rest for a moment, and then stand up.
You are on a small, glowing platform. There are four pathways leading from the platform, but all the surrounding area is hazy with mist. It's kind of creepy, but in an interesting way.
Sensing that this is where the action is, so to speak, you randomly pick a pathway to follow.
