You come to a platform that has a large display case in its center. There is no one around, but a humming metal device is attached to the top of the case.
Peering through the glassy sides, you see a purple crystal and a weird looking gizmo of some sort.
You cautiously touch the device on top of the box, and it makes a few beeping sounds. Then, it starts saying things. Although you were (*ahem*) not exactly at the top of your language class at the Starcademy, you can tell that a phrase is being repeated in several different languages. You listen to the strange words, until all of a sudden --

Well! Terran! Now maybe you can get those interesting thingies from the case. Upon close inspection of the situation, it seems that you're supposed to speak into the device after jarring it, to activate the opening mechanisms. You give the thing your best judo chop, and then say...
"Open up!"
"Here, crystal, crystal, crystal..."
"Heh heh heh...I am an important Spung nobleperson!"
