After being tattooed leave the

bandage on for four to six hours. Once the bandage is removed wash with an antibacterial soap, pat dry, and apply a thin layer of antibacterial ointment. Rub the ointment thoroughly into the skin. Do not let the tattoo dry out. Scabbing on the surface of the tattoo means the area has become too dry. If scabbing occurs wash gently and reapply antibacterial ointment. Do not use Vaseline. After washing and applying antibacterial ointment leave the tattoo uncovered. Avoid Sun exposure, soaking in water,or getting the tattoo dirty. A new tattoo should heal within 14 to 21 days if cared for properly.

For the mostpart all piercings can be cleaned and cared for alike

All piercing should be washed with an antibacterial soap in warm or hot water every morning and evening while healing.       Additional cleaning should be done as needed. New piercing should avoid any contact that might cause irritation till completely healed. Antibiotic ointment should be used sparingly during the first week of the healing process. Body piercing vary in healing time. When turning jewelry in a new piercing make sure your hands are clean and there is no crusty build up on the jewelry.Jewelry should only be rotated while cleaning, not throughout the day.
