Logan walked into the club, almost expecting for her not to be there. A flash of white in the corner of his eye told him other wise. It was followed by a light laugh.
He made his way over to the bar, and that's where he found her, surrounded by men. He controlled his anger as he sidled up to her. She turned slightly at the new presence and smiled. "Logan, I'm so glad you're here." The smile didn't quite reach to her crystal blue eyes, and he could tell she was uncomfortable.
"Yeah darlin'. I wouldn't forget you." He put his arm around her, and half the men left. He had to stare the rest down for them to leave.
"Thanks, Logan. You're a lifesaver." Ororo smiled and remembered her drink. "Oh, I ordered you one. It's some sort of Canadian beer." She handed it to him.
"How did you know what I'd like?" Logan asked in surprise. He sipped the beer, and it was one of his favorites.
"Your niece. She was quite informative actually." Ororo laughed.
"I bet she is." Logan made a note to buy her a big present later. "So what are you drinking?"
"A Screaming Orgasm. I haven't had one in ages." She took another sip.
"Well, I could take care of that for you." Logan said, leaning in close.
Ororo almost gagged on the drink as Logan moved away innocently. Her luminescent eyes were wide, holding in the laughter as she swallowed. She was about to reply when a new song started to play. She brightened and held out a slender hand. "Logan, care to dance?"
"I'd love to dance with you." Ororo led them out to the dance floor, many people dancing to the music. He let her lead, and sort of stepped back to watch her move.
Anytime I need to see your face,
I just close my eyes
And I am taken to a place where
your crystal mind and
Magenta feelings take up shelter
in the base of my spine
Sweet like a chic-a-cherry cola
Ororo moved with an almost unconscious grace, her body in movement like a work of art. She flashed her brilliant smile as she gave a small spin. Her hair caught every color and light that flashed across, and threw it back twice as bright.
I don't need to try and explain:
I just hold on tight
And if it happens again, I might
move so slightly
To the arms and lips and the
face of the human cannonball
That I need to, I want to
He came closer, her hips brushing his occasionally. His hands found their way around her waist, the contrast between her leather corset and satin skirt was erotic.
Ororo placed her hands around Logan's neck, the feeling of being next to him making her happy. Her long hair flashed across Logan's face slightly, and he took a deep breath.
Come stand a little bit closer
Breathe in and get a bit higher
You'll never know what hit you
When I get to you
He detected a small scent of Jasmine, with the calming scent of vanilla. Something different was there too, something like magic… Logan smiled to himself as Ororo snuggled closer. He felt at ease for the first time in a long time.
Ooh, I want you
I don't know if I need you
But, ooh, I'd die to find out
Ooh, I want you
I don't know if I need you
But, ooh, I'd die to find out
Ororo loved the rugged, manly scent emanating from Logan. He had a wild, deep woods smell that excited her to no end. She smiled as he kept up with her complicated steps, moving in time to the music. "Handsome and can dance? Well well…" She thought, enjoying the feel of his large hands on her hips.
I'm the kind of person who
endorses
a deep commitment
Getting comfy getting perfect
is what I live for
But a look, then a smell of perfume
It's like I'm down on the floor
And I don't know what I'm in for
Logan looked up just as Ororo looked down, and their lips met briefly. Both felt the shock, and she stepped out of the embrace, slightly uncertain.
He struggled to constrain himself, waiting and giving her room. Ororo looked back at Logan, and she realized he respected her enough to let her sort out her own feelings. She stepped back towards him and said, "Why don't we just dance right now?"
Logan brought her close. "That's alright with me darlin'." Ororo smiled, and both were swept back into the music.
Conversation has a time and a place
In the interaction of a lover and
a mate,
But the time of talking
using symbols, using words
Can be likened to a deep sea diver
who is swimming with a raincoat
Logan walked Ororo back to her car. He couldn't remember when he had so much fun. They laughed and talked for about fifteen minutes leaning against her Jaguar. "So, can I see you again sometime this lifetime?" He asked, grinning softly.
"How about I call you, and we'll have lunch? My schedule is frighteningly packed." Ororo said apologetically. "But I had a wonderful time. You dance very well. Did you take lessons?"
"Naw, I just like to move, it was great music, and I really enjoyed my partner." Logan smiled.
Ororo blushed. "I thank you Logan. This night has made me happier than I've been in months." She blushed a lock of silver behind her ear. Logan grabbed her hand and held it between his.
"You know darlin' you've made me very happy too, and I hope this isn't our last date."
Ororo leaned forward, her lips almost touching his. Logan held his breath in anticipation…she was so close…
"It won't. Trust me on that." She smiled and backed away. Logan awoke from his spell, blinking.
"Okay…so I'll talk to you later?" He asked, opening up her car door.
"Yes. Personally, I cant wait." She stepped inside and Loan closed the door. Starting up the car, she let down the top. "Good night Logan." Ororo pulled out of the parking lot and sped away. "Oh yeah…I've fallen hard." He sighed as his cell phone ran. It was Jubilee. "Yes Jubilee?"
"How'd it go?"
"How'd you know it was over?" Logan asked as he walked to his car.
"Common sense. It's ten fifteen, and you have two inspections scheduled. Ororo's really nice. I like her." Jubilee said, unable to keep the smugness from her voice.
"Yeah, she's really nice. And beautiful too."
"Do you have a repeat performance?"
"Lunch date for sometime in the near future." He started up his mustang and pulled out of the parking lot. Jubilee squealed in the phone, causing him to pull it from his ear.
"Sorry. I'm so excited. I want to meet her soon okay?"
Jubilee told him on no uncertain terms.
"You don't even know if I'll be dating her at all." Logan protested as he made his way home.
"Yeah, whatever. She's a keeper. I'll talk to you later Logan. I'm tired and I have a test tomorrow." Jubilee yawned.
"Yeah, sure. Talk to you later, firecracker." Jubilee burst out laughing as she hung up the phone. Logan's thoughts drifted back to Ororo. She was beautiful, smart, funny, and kind. What would she want with him?
Ooh, I want you
I don't know if I need you
But, ooh, I'd die to find out
Ooh, I want you
I don't know if I need you
But, ooh, I'd die to find out
So can we find out?
