The Next Day
Logan nervously paced back and forth in his room begging the clock to slow down! He couldn't believe he was acting this way, it wasn't as if he had never been on a date before, hell tons of them.
Ok so most people would consider them one night stands, but...
What was he thinking? She was way too good for him. She was intelligent and sexy and could get any man she wanted, he didn't have a chance. He growled low in his throat and ran a weary hand through his jet black hair.
As he was about to make another pass he caught a glimpse of his reflection in the mirror. What the fuck was he doing? He was Logan, fuck that Wolverine! An X-Man, he could do this!
Stomping over to his closet, before he lost his nerve, he wrenched open the door.
Damn it, what should he wear?
He groaned and defeatedly sunk on his bed. He didn't know how to do this and for one of the first times in his life he was afraid, petrified in fact.
He was used to one night stands. No ties, no calls, no promises, but he didn't want that. Ororo was so much more. She was one of the first people to look past his rough exterior to try to see the real man. Even he had given up on trying to find that out.
It was just easier to submit to the mask, he had given into it so much he doubted he would ever be able to take it off. But now, for the first time he truly wanted to break those chains. He wanted to be a better man, he wanted to be a better Logan, and yearned to see what happened to the man under the mask.
He could this, he had to do this. It was time.

Oh who was she kidding he wasn't going to come. He was in love with Jean, everyone knew it. Why did she keep getting herself involved in these unrequited love relationships, first Scott and now Logan.
She walked over and gazed out of her window, looking down on the peaceful and beautiful stretch of land that the school rested on.
But Logan was so much more. He wasn't just a passing crush that came from knowing someone so long. He was It, he was everyting.
He was kind, gentle, strong, and yet at the same time, hard and primal.
Everything she lacked he had, they simply fit.
Both looking for who they really were. Logan because he had close to no memories of his past and her ironically because she did.
She was tired of looking in the mirror and seeing a perfect stranger staring back, feeling ill at ease inside of her own body. Constantly wearing this mask of calmness and stability when inside she was a hurricane without a clue of who she truly was.
All she had ever done was watch, watch people, watch plants, watch life.
Just blending into the shadows and watching as the world slowly but surely passed her by. But no more. With Logan by her side she would find Ororo Munroe. It was time.

Deciding on just a pair of blue jeans and a white shirt, he grabbed his leather jacket and keys and set off to Storm's.
Coming to her door a new debate began in his head. To knock on the door, or not to. He growled low in his throat and his head fell against the door.
//Oh shit!//
/Damn/
He was here, he was actually here! he wasn't suppose to be here! He was suppose to be competing with Scott for Jean. Not standing at her door after asking her out yesterday! This wasn't happening!
Even more impossible was the fact that her hand was slowly stretching out to turn her door knob. No! No she wasn't opening the door, and Logan wasn't standing there looking sexy as hell with a lost puppy dog expression on his face.
An extrmely awkward silence met her as she reluctantly stepped through the door.
"So ready to go to the movies?" He asked, immediately wanting to take the sentence back. that was until he saw the bright smile that was spread across her face.
"Sounds great," he helped her slip into her jacket, while pleading with his hands to stop shaking, and was extremely grateful that she couldn't see them.
"Let's go," he escorted her outside.
She raised her eyebrow, "Isn't that Scott's bike?"
"Yeah well he's done without it for six months, what's another day?" He sent her a self satisfied smirk and she chuckled while shaking her head.
Accepting the helmet she straddled the motorcycle, shifting to get comfortable and wrapped her arms around Logan's waist. As they sped away she decided that maybe this wasn't as impossible as she had thought.
