The
Gender RolesVS
Pop Culture

One thing I enjoy about the Fantastic Four comic books (as well as any books for that matter) is the apparent sexism. It begs the question, "Were the artists at Marvel Comics truly sexist, or merely reflecting the social norms of their era?" It seems to be a blurred line -- suppression versus description. Is this comic an example of the socialized enforcement of gender roles or but the thoughtless half-life of pop culture intending nothing except profit margins? I could say, if I cared either way. But you should decide for yourself.

No, thank you, Ken, but I have enough dirt already.
