Did you know there are hundreds of species of animals that have dissapeared, gone extinct! Why, you ask? Greed, selfishness,money.

We tear down beautiful forests to build malls. We trap animals for their fur, we hunt and kill, and tourture and slaughter all in the name of a dollar.

What we should be doing is respecting, honoring and humbling ourselves in the midst of such magnificent beauty. Yet, instead we act as though we are superior and have every right to treat exotics like we own them, when they really own us.

Instead of us adapting to them we force them to either adapt to us or we kill them. Doesn't seem fair! Doesn't seem fair that we would trap them, steal them from their families and expect them to preform for us on demand, like the circus. But we do it!

I wonder how many protests there'd be if I stole a child from it's mothers arms and kept in in a cage for the rest of it's life? Oh, but an animal is an animal? Indeed, an animal. We use the word animal sometimes to describe something bad. But animals are not bad. They are innocent, they are beautiful and they are not our property!

I hope for the day when we can learn to give and take without hurting our exotics. When we live in a world where we don't see a use for fur or leather. Where we can stop tearing down their homes and moan when they travel through ours!

How hypocritical we are to move into their home and complain when we see them in our garbage or in our backyard! What else do we expect WE have left them homeless!!! We set traps to get rid of them, we shoo them away, yet it's because of us that they are here!

It's because of us that they are dying, it's because of us they are disappearing.
