Crete-Restored Colonnade at Palace of King Minos
Because ancient ruins typically consist of marble, weathered and
whitened over the centuries, we tend to forget that many sites
were originally embellished with rich colors. This restoration at
the Palace of King Minos emphasizes deep red columns. There's
also a mural of a bull painted on the wall behind the columns.
