HEBREW CALLIGRAPHY GALLERY

What you will find on this site are several items. First is a gallery of some of my more recent calligraphy works (see link to GALLERY below) - mostly calligraphy on Jewish themes but that differs from most Judaica in that there is almost no use of illustration/illumination- underlying the belief in the power of the letters and words themselves (pure calligraphy) to express the emotional content of the text. This is followed by similar works but of a more experimental nature (see EXPERIMENTAL CALLIGRAPHY )You will also find a description of a unique Hebrew Calligraphy Correspondence Course that I am offering which teaches the fundamentals of Hebrew Calligraphy. There is also a link below to a short professional biography. Following is a gallery of more traditional Hebrew Calligraphy and Judaica which includes several prints of mine for sale. Separately listed below is a link to viewing some simple ketubot designs of mine which may be recommissioned. Last is a synagogue commission involving letters cut in wood. Please note these last pages may be viewed now although they are still being constructed so pages might change or be updated in the near future.
