Chapter 44 - That kiss

~*Jenn*~

"Do you understand Ike?" I asked.

"Yeah, I think so. But it's kind of mean don't you think?"

I raised an eyebrow. "You have a problem with it? Maybe your right......it might not be such a good idea...."

"Well, we should still do it. She almost made us break up," Ike reasoned.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." I tried to convince my self that she deserves it.

"Of course I'm right Jenn," Ike pulled me to him and kissed my forehead. "I'm Isaac Hanson after all..."

"Right...." I rolled my eyes. "You really are getting too full of yourself Ike. Soon your head will get too big for your shoulders and it'll fall off, and then where will we be?"

"I don't know. Maybe I could get a gig as the headless guitarist."

"I am definitely not going to have a headless guitarist for a boyfriend. Well....as long as your lower half is still there, maybe it wouldn't be so bad then....." A sly grin appeared on my face.

"Hmmmmm......you're giving me ideas..." Ike kissed me, and almost instantly I felt his tongue in my mouth.

"Ike!" I pulled my head away relunctantly. "We have to get back at Rachel, remember?"

"Oh yeah..." Ike seemed disappointed. "After one more kiss."

I giggled and soon he was chasing me upstairs, and soon one thing lead to another....

***********************************************************

Alexandra stared at Taylor, and wondered if his eyes could get any wider. She clenched her teeth to keep from running from her hiding spot behind the bushes and slapping the slut that was making her boyfriend horny. Alex watched as Taylor's eyes checked out Amber's exposed body. Taylor wasn't supposed to enjoy going out with Amber, he was being forced to. But from the look on his face it didn't look like he was too sad.

When Taylor finally looked away and mumbled something, she knew that he was thinking of her and feeling guilty. Alex knew she could trust Taylor. She waited until the couple had began to drive away before she ran to her car and cautiously went after them. The events that followed pleased her.

Especially when Amber fell in the mud. She had to bury her face in her hands to keep from laughing out loud. She kept herself quiet though, and remained behind a big tree about 3 yards from where Taylor's car was stuck. Alex had desperately wanted to hug someone when Taylor threw Amber in the car and told her to shut up.

When they finally left, Alex was very pleased with how the date had gone, and she knew that Taylor hated Amber, and had gotten past her outward appearance to see the disgusting personality inside. Taylor had stayed true to her, and Amber was out of the way.

*********The next day***************************

Alexandra waited for Taylor to come to her. She sat on the front steps to her house, in shorts and a navy blue tanktop, enjoying the warm breeze and sunny day. Sure enough, Taylor came walking up to her.

Alex stood up and smiled. Suddenly she felt shy.

"Hi." Taylor had his hands shoved in his pockets and was looking down.

"Hi." She didn't know why she felt shy. She just did.

After a few moments of silence, they both jerked out of the timidness at the same time. Alex looked straight into his clear blue eyes, and saw a smile in them that she had come to know very well. It was a smile that would shine in his eyes when he was overjoyed, even though there was no smile on his lips. He could keep the sincerety on his face, while having a huge sweet grin in his eyes, and you could see it if you just knew where to look.

Their faces were inches apart, and Alex could feel Taylor's light breathe on her forehead. He lifted hand slowly to tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear. Taylor leaned down and quickly brushed her lips with his. Alex smiled before leaning up and kissing him back. All the fury towards Amber, love for Taylor, and how much she worried about him came out in that kiss. He wrapped his arms around her waste and put both of her arms around his shoulders, with one hand resting in the back of his neck, embedded in his tangled blonde hair.

She tasted his lips with her tongue, remembering. Even though it had only been a few weeks since she had left him in his room with Amber's phone number after they had slept together, it felt like forever. Living without his sweet kiss really did feel like forever to her.

The kiss they shared that day was different from all the others. It was a simple kiss that showed a lot.

That kiss proved that everything would be okay.
