New Nightmare 2 Scene 3 Close up of David as he wakes up screaming in the Theater. The movie is over, and Josh had been trying to wake him up. The camera pulls back as Josh moves back from shaking his friend, and is now looking at the screaming teenager worried, but scared of what is going on. However, he quickly turns from fear to comedy, as he starts to laugh at his friend.Josh You should have sceamed during the movie, not during the credits. David starts to come around to where he is as he looks around at all the people looking at him as they are walking by to leave. He starts to get up, noticing his friends looking at him strangly.Candy Yeah, we finally went to one of your horror movies and you fall asleep. David is walking along with his friends as they are trying to make their way out with everyone else. A huge crowd flocking to leave, with these four budding in, and moving along as though they owned the place.David That wasn't a horror movie. It was too flashy, na, that was more of a thrill ride...but it wasn't to thrilling. Tina I don't know, It had me scared. David Are you still scared? Tina No the movie is over David Then it wasn't scary, it was just thrilling, a true horror movie, has you scared to do something. It will have a residual effect on you after the movie Candy I don't think I want to see one of those. Josh ah. Just ignore him. He still screamed David Not because of that boring movie. Hell, I fell asleep half way through it. It was my Nightmare that made me scream. Tina What did you dream about? David About Freddy Candy Freddy who? David Freddy Krueger, haven't you ever heard of The Nightmare movies? Josh Somethings wrong with you if you are dreaming about a serial killer in a movie. David He was chasing me. It was wierd. So real, and in this parking lot Candy Oooh! You need to lay off the horror movies. They are starting to get to you. Just like in David's dream They make it to the car, and Candy gets in. David gets in over the frame, into the backseat.Candy Why do you always have to do that. David Because I know you would never keep the door open for me. Candy Well Stop, you'll scuff the wax Josh is holding the seat forward so that Tina can get in on the other side. She climbs in, but doesn't get close to David. She sits there leaning back against her side of the comfortable, well-padded seats. David realizes the Deja Vu from his dream and is sitting on his side of the backseat, weary of what is to come. Candy is preparing to start the car, and Josh is again reaching for the radio. As the car starts, and loud pop music blares into the night, relief floods over David as everything seems safe. Candy puts it in reverse, and they pull back out of the parking space. CUT Candy is driving down the road with all of them in the car.Candy So what should we do now. David I don't know about you guys, but I am tired. You can drop me off at home. Candy Sure, but then what should we do, Josh? Josh I don't know. Tina What about the skating rink? Candy You want to? Josh Not really. Why don't we just come over to my house. We can rent some movies, and get into my dad's liquor cabinet Tina Are they home tonight? Josh No, my dad's away filming some new movie, and my mom's off with her boyfriend of the week. Candy Sounds like a plan to me. Josh Hey David, sure you don't want to come. David No I just want to get home to bed. Josh Why, you just slept through half that movie. David Yeah, and now I am still tired. Candy Okay. It's up to you. Josh Yeah, you know your more than welcome David Hey, what's up with this treatment. Candy Well, I was just thinking that I could call Sam over. David No, I have to get home, and clean up my room. Mother and chores. She's holding me using her car this weekend for me to get it done. Josh What's this weekend David My date with Sam.
