New Nightmare 2
Scene 13

David stands in the study, looking at the memoribillia of the 
movies he had grown up to love.  He picks up the origional 
Freddy glove, with a pained look.  He looks at the pictures 
of Freddy(past) and Wes standing with their arms around 
each other.  The camera pulls back to show the door to the study, 
Josh peeks in, and once he sees David there, he comes the rest 
of he way in.

Josh
What's up?  Something wrong.

David
I grew up loving to watch
Freddy.  Seeing him up there
on that big screen, slashing
at some girl, chasing some
guy.  Hiding in the shadows

David turns away form the memoribillia, and looks to Josh

David
I grew up loving to watch
his movies.  Now it's real,
and I don't know how to 
handle this.  I mean, did
you ever once imagine your=
self being captured in one
of your fathers movies?

Josh
Actually, almost everynight
while growing up, I hardly
ever got a good night sleep.
Even though I had met 
everyone out of their make
up, and had seen all the sets.
At night, I would still have
nightmares of me being caught
in the movies.

There is a pause of reflection

David
So how are we supposed to 
kill Freddy.  Any thoughts?

Josh
He comes from a story,  but
is freed from story rules.
Yet most likely since he has
been caught in Freddy so long,
he acts like him, and will 
continue.  Maybe he will die
like him too.  I mean, maybe
we could use something out of
the previous movies to kill
this demon, or at least to
take him out of Freddy.

David
ha...could you imagine if this
was to happen to Jason or 
Michael.

Josh
It won't.  Not for awhile.  
They are still making movies.

David
Is there a way he could be
transfered over to them.  Into
those series.  They haven't
made a good one in awhile,
but there should be enough
horror left in those series
to take him.

Josh
How?

David
I don't know?

David stiffles a yawn.

David
We better go make some 
more coffee.

Josh follows up David's yawn with one of his own.

Josh
Yeah

They both stand, and go to leave the room.

CUT

In the Kitchen as they both are leaning back, pouring their 
glasses full of hot coffee.

Josh
I wonder what Candy 
is doing.

David
Well, if she was watching 
television at this hour
she is probably wishing
she was dead.

Josh
Yeah, okay.  I'm going to
go and get the tapes.
Maybe we'll get some ideas.

David
That sounds good.  I'll be
in with Candy, keeping her
company.

Josh is about to leave the room with David following behind 
him.  Josh stops, and turns to look at David.

Josh
David.  What haven't they
done to kill Freddy?

David
Well, they have tried to 
pull him out of the dream
scape, they have tried to
bury his bones, they have
used his own reflection,
but I can't remember what
else they have done.

Josh
Do you think any of it 
could actually work on 
this Freddy?

David
I don't know.
