Baptism
Once we have made a decision to ask Jesus to be our savior and the Lord of our lives, we've asked him to forgive us our sins and promised to live for him the next step is to be baptized just as Jesus himself was. We do this as a public expression of our personal commitment to follow Christ. The baptism symbolizes Christ's death burial and resurrection in our own lives. It is a symbol of the death and burial of our old life as we are immersed (or burried) in the water and the resurrection is symbolized as we are lifted out of the water (resurrected) in our new life in Christ. Rejoice with us as you enjoy these photos from our outdoor baptisms on June 27, 1999.
