Inducted for his Superior Performance

Larry was recognized early in his bowling career when tagged one of the “top ten” bowlers of the decade back in the early 70’s. He’s lived up the stature by establishing a 200+ average, which he has maintained throughout his 35 years of bowling.

He won the Tri-State Tournament and was runner up twice. In 1977 he won the Daily News Holiday Tournament after being runner up five times. Twice he was runner up in the Pepsi Tournament held at R & R Lanes as well as runner up to Larry Hesker in the Pabst Tournament. In 1978 he won the Christmas Eve Tournament at Cherry Bowl in Rockford.

On 2/22/87 Larry set the house record with a 299 game and a 798 series leading Chuck’s Dining of the All Star Classic League to the Championship. Larry has rolled five 300 games, his first on 11/5/97 and his most recent on 2/23/03 when he won the Wisconsin State Singles tournament…. rolling games of 278, 300, 249 for a high series of 827. Larry has bowled seven 299 games and one 298 game. Along with his 800 series he has a 798, 797 and a 795.

In 2003 Larry finished the season with a 224 average and a 221 season average in 2004. He currently bowls in the Bullseye Open at Viking Lanes.
