TELL US ABOUT THE SPONSOR OF THE DOG TRACK CASINOS BILL?
State Sen. George Clay of Macon County announced November 2 that he will introduce the bills. They would allow "games of skill" at the state’s four dog tracks. Sen. Clay is a good conservative, pro-business Democrat on most issues. He went to great lins to help Lt. Gov. Steve Windom and the other conservatives in their gallant attempt to keep Siegelman from taking complete control of the Senate. It would not be good politics for us to bash Sen. Clay because of our disagreement with him on this one issue. He represents Macon County, where the dog track is struggling.

WHO IS BEHIND THIS WEBSITE AND CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE ELECTRONIC CASINOS BILL?
Mobile lawyer Jim Zeigler led a successful Internet campaign to defeat the Pensions for Politicians Amendment in the October 12 referendum. Now he is leading this on-line campaign against the dog track casinos bill.

WHAT IS THEIR STRATEGY?
The bills are worded to avoid a statewide vote like the one on October 12. Instead, voters in four districts having a dog track will be the only voters. If any one of the four districts votes yes, then Alabama has video gambling in that one district alone. The districts eligible to vote are: City of Birmingham (not Jefferson County), Mobile County, Greene County, and Macon County.

In this sneaky way, voters in any one of these four districts will make the decision for all Alabama voters as to whether our state will sponsor electronic gambling casinos.

Their strategy is smooth, quiet, and under-handed. Unless you live in one of the four districts, you will have no right to vote on this issue.

WHAT IS OUR STRATEGY?
Our best shot is to defeat this in the legislature. It needs to never get to a referendum vote in the four districts. For our complete strategy, go to: BECOME AN ONLINE POLITICAL ACTIVIST
