Chapter 5

Carmina and Silhouette looked at the black shadows flowing down the cliffs yelling their warcry "Sword and shields,kill merciless" All figures were dressed fully in black,black armors their flags presented Dragons,Blood and War.The three cults that everyone thought was just a myth,but got blamed for several mysterious murders,like for the death of King and Queen Forsythia.Carmina had heard about the myth,just like everyne else had.She just never believed it was real.She looked at the approaching men,must be a hundred of them she thought.Silhouette stood eyes and mouth wide oped not believeving what he was seeing.Carmina poked him.

"This is no good,what are they doing in here?"Silhouette fell on his knees and started to cry in panic.

Not now Carmina thought,not ever."Silhouette!Snap out of it!"She said strongly."We're gonna die!Die like dogs!"He cried.Carmina sighed in frustration and slapped im accross his face."S-n-a-p out of it!We must hide somewhere!Now pull yourself together!"She helped him to get up."Where do you think the villagers would be hiding?"

Silhouette looked at her with classy eye,she wasn't sure if he even saw her at all."I...Don't know.They could be anywhere"

"Think!"She persisted and heard the voices coming closer and closer and saw most o the houses on fire."There's no time!We must hide now!Come one!"She took his hand and started to run away from the Master Herzens laboratory."We have to get out of there"Carmina instantly thought of going back to the mine,but saw the houses at that side of village in fire.She looked around.They were stuck.

Silhouette just ran with her,he didn't say a word.She was expecting some helpful ideas from him but that was no use.Clan Soldiers came by the path.They came fast.Carmina was about to scream but kept it inside.Silhoutte poked her and pointed to an alley.She nodded and they headed there and ducked just as the soldiers passed by firing up every house on their way.

"We can't stay here you know Silhouette.We must leave the village"

"We can't,there's no way out of here."Silhouette said miserably."And I don't want to go..."

"I got in here and so did they!The is an exit,where is it?Tell me or we're gonna end up dead!"She closed her mouth when an figure was standing near them holding a torch in his hand.He seemed to be peering at the alley.Carmina wondered if he had heard something,but realized it didn't really matter.There was two ways out.With Silhoutte,or with them.Soldier went away continued his journey.

"I can't find anyone Sir!"

"They are here,Clan Master said this person we're looking for is here.Keep looking.Check the mines!"

"Yes Sir!"

Carmina and Silhouette heard footsteps going further and further."We must go now,head to the cliffs and look our way out.Let's go.Now!"Together they ran out of the alley,heading up to the cliffs.The air was filled with smoke and it made her cough.Everything looked so red,like death.She wondered if anyone else was alright,where did they hide.Suddenly she saw something move at her eyecorner.rapidly she turned to the direction and saw a clan soldier reaching his hand to them and pulling a sword with another."No!"She screamed and kicked the soldier to his knee as hard as she could."Run!!"They ran as fast as they could,but short Silhouette wasn't so fast as she hoped.They actually ran slow.

"Sir!Over here!"The Clan Soldier shouted.

Carmina was starting to give up,no way they could make it.She looked at Silhouette sadly wishing she could save atleast him.

"There they are,seize them!"They turned around to the direction they were coming from,but they couldn't go there.Most of the burning houses had already crashed turning the path into a dead end,she spinned around looking they were surrounded by Clan Soldiers.Silhouette started to cry hysterically,Carmina only looked at the Soldiers."I am sorry"She whispered to Silhouette but wasn't sure if he had heard.

The one who was obviously in charge stood in the middle."Tie'em up and take them away"He said holding a cloth over his mouth because of the smoke that was starting to make everyones lungs hurt."This place has turned into a pit,let's get out of here"

"Yes Sir!"Soldiers saluted as the commander passed by them and started to tie Carminas and Silhouettes hands behind their backs.

"What do you want from us?Let us go!We haven't done anything!"

"We got an order to destroy this village and capture everyone we could.Now shut up!"

Carmina hung her head.So they are all dead she thought.Silhouette is the last of them.Poor man.She looked at him and he was fully in pieces.He understands.He knows.

Soldiers took them away.

Chapter 6
