Chapter 6

Carmina didn't like the way she was treated.She didn't like the Commander,or his Soldiers.She hated their smell,the smell of iron and blood in their armors.She wondered if they ever had heard of such thing as bath or clening.They travelled at nights like wolves and during the day light they retired to caves or one of their secret hideouts that they seemed to have about everywhere.Atleast she had seen the exit back to the Upperworld,not that it comforted her that much since she was with a group of beasts that were all ready to cut her throath if someone just said so.Living with fear starged her hear,she took every breath coutisouly thinking it could be her last.She was scared.More scared than ever in her life before.Silhouette hadn't talked after they were captured.Carmina didn't really wonder that.She understood what he must have been going through.Now it was his turn to be in a whole new world,just like she had been.She was hungry.They barely fed them and the food what hey got didn't look that delicious anyway.

So much had happened after Carmina's mom had died.She wondered where Kaq is.Thought she had never liked or cared about him that much.But he was close with her mom and was the first man her mom had been with after dad had disappeared.

"Daddy?"Carmina reached her hand and caught his sleeve.Her dad looked at her with painfilled eyes,then he looked at her mom who was crying.Two men dressed in gray robes were standing near by waiting for him to come."Where are you going daddy?"Her mom cried out loud and threw herself to his arms whom gently stroke her hair and kissed her cheeck."Goodbye my dearest"he said quietly,oushed her away and walked to the men wearing robes.All three of them walked towards the setting sun.

Carmina sighed.Perhaps she was never to know the truth about the fate of his dad and who were these men.

They had been walking forever and Carminas legs started to hurt,like her bones would have been too short.Small of thick.The sun was about to rise and also Silhouette was about to crash.They were walking in a forest.Most of the Soldiers riding horses except for the scouts whom had dragons.She had never seen dragons before and thought they'd have been bigger.Or then they were some other race.

"Sir!Owlsnest is near Sir!"One of the scouts said to the Commander when he flied pass him.

"Alright men!Hurry up!We're to reach Owlsnest before daylight!"

"Yes Sir"All answered in a chore and hurried their steps.

They reached Owlsnest at the blue moment.The scouts were covering their tracks as the Commander knocked to a big wooden door.He spoke a few words with someone who opened the small hatch.The door was in a side of a mountain,once again Carmina was about to enter the stones.The door opened and the Commander walked in Clan Soldiers following him.There was a group of maybe ten soldiers taking off their armors,obviously they had just arrived too.She smelled something cooking and was thrilled to see the warm light of fire in the torches.But to that her thrillness ended when they were pushed into a small cage.Silhouette fell to the ground,his feet letting him down.

"We are not animals you hear me!"Soldier who was about to leave turned around and looked at Carmina."Look at this lil missy,doesn't she have the will!"Soldiers that were near bursted to laugh.He pulled Carmina close so she smelled his stinking breath."Don mess with us girl"

"You're all a bunch of dogs"She spit on his face.

"You hear that guys?Says we're dogs!maybe she'd be our lil bitch now wouldn't she eh?"Soldier smirked at other Soldiers whom were now coming closer whistling and cheering."Don't you know it Viper!"

Carmina looked at them eyes wide open knwoing what they were thinking."You bastards..."She whispered,Viper who heard it slapped her accross her face."Are we up to some fun guys?"This raised a noise,they all were up for it and were hungrily looking at Cramina who hoped she could just die.Viper opened the cage and pulled her out and roughly kissed her on the lips.

"Carmina!"Silhouette shouted."Let go of her"He finally woke up to the reality.Carmina struggled to get away from Vipers touch but he being stronger she didn't have much to do.He started to take of her shirt,bite her neck and ears so hard it started to bleed.She cried for pain and fear.

"Alright that's enough!"A young tall man walked to the room wearing gray robes,looking more like a mage than a soldier.Viper backed off and others were mumbling around them.

"Sir!I can explain..."

Carmina took her shirt and rapidly put it back on crawling away from the soldiers to a shadowy corner.

"I can see fairly well with my own eyes Viper.Dismissed!"He commanded."Yes Sir!"All except Viper saluted and left the hall."But Sir,prisoner..."

"You may go now Viper"Young man said sharply.Viper not daring to object anymore quietly sneaked out of the room.The man looked directly at Carmina.

"DarkOwl!"Clan Soldier hurried ot the room.DarkOwl turned around and sighed frustrated "What is it Toxic?"

"It's Viper Sir!He said he'd kill himself!"

"I won't miss him"DarkOwl mumbled.Clan Soldier raised his eyebrows."What did you say Sir?"darkOwl gestured him to leave."It's not important,you're excused"Clan Soldier took the hint and saluted before he left the room.

DarkOwl faced Carmina again who was at the edge of tears again."Did Viper hurt you?"Unable to speak she just shaked her head.

"I will personally make sure he will not come near you again"He kneeled next to Carmina."Are you hungry?or is your friend hungry?I can arrange you some food.Proper food."

"Why are you being so nice?"She asked.

"Because I can" he replied."Sorry but for unspeakable reasons I must put you back to that cage.I will try to come back soon."He guided her back to the cage,locked the door and quietly left the hall.She looked after him her head filled with guestions,but was too tired to start to think about them.She just looked at Silhouette whom had gone back to melancholity.She sighed and made herself as comfortable as she could laying on a rocky floor.She tried to sleep but found herself still awake when they guards brough them food.water,bread and dried fruits.
