Games!!

Lotto Game

As your guests arrive, hand them a blank sheet of paper with their folders. When you're ready to start the game, ask them to draw a lotto board, 4 squares across, 4 up & down. Also ask them to make the squares large enough to write a word in. Use 16 index cards and have a word and description written on each. Most of them should describe items on your table but two that you are sure you can use are "Opportunity" which is how you would describe all the opportunities of becoming a consultant with your company , and the other is "Hostess Program" which is of course how you would tell them about what they can receive by becoming a hostess. As you read each word, the guests have to write them down, one in each box. Once I have read all 16, I then tell my guests that I will randomly pull cards and as I read those words they make an "X" in the box where that word appears. When somone has a lotto or bingo (a line across, diagonal or up & down) they have to yell out "I Love Candles", or of course something that pertains to your business, and that person receives a gift.

The Worm Game

The worm game is a simple one that helps you demonstrate your products. Start at one end of the room and use any gadget that you want. Tell them what the gadget is and explain how to use it. Then tell them that you are going to pass this around and as each person passes it, they have to say "My name is (whatever), and my favorite piece of Tupperware is (whatever). This is a worm, pass it on." Then after each person says what their favorite piece is, you can either demonstrate it then, or wait until everyone is done passing the "worm". Then, after everyone is finished, you say "Everyone knows the early bird gets the worm, so (whoever) was the first to arrive, so she gets the worm!" This is a really good ice breaker game, too. Plus it helps you know what products are going to be interesting to the group.

Scavenger Hunt

Most catalogs have props alongside their products and I would name the prop and have the guests search the catalog and the first one to find the item wins a door prize coupon. You can have a list of maybe 8 items and do one at a time. I then used that opportunity to discuss products on that page including items that I did not have on hand.

Partyplan Scattegories

Take the name of your party plan and have the guests fill in responses beginning with the letters in the word.

For example. PARK LANE

Let's say the category is Girl's Names. You could put Penny, Ann, Rhonda, Karen, Lori, Amber, Nina, Elizabeth.

Some categories to consider:

  • Types of birds
  • Breeds of dogs
  • States
  • Countries
  • Cities
  • Girls Names
  • Boys Names
  • Sports teams
  • Street names
Prizes can be awared to whoever gets the most different ones or whoever gets the most - period!

TOP SECRET

You'll need an actual item that was/is sold by your company.

4 Game gifts/gagets/samples

And 5 Party packets already made.(min)

A bag of any sort to put pieces of paper in and shuffle around.

10 strips of paper; 1 says "TOP SECRET" , 4 say "FREE GIFT", 5 say "PARTY WITH ME!"

You should add to the bag if you're going to have a lot of people at a party to make it more fun. Now, You let them know that this is the chance to win anything for FREE tonight and if they choose to put their hand in the bag they can win an item from the catalog/past catalog, a sample/gift/gadget, or a chance to earn some ________ for FEE with you.

Make it clear that is their choice to play and if they do and pull out party they will be the biggest winners of all and that you'll need a tentative date that night and you'll call tomorrow for a definate.(Do this so they know they can't back out).

Most if not all will play and everyone I've taught this to has a dating average of 4 per party they do this game. Once they pick their slip have them show you and everyone else what they won and out it back in the bag this way you might date 6 or 8 and not just the 5 you put in. Keep the TOP SECRET one out if you only bring one big item though.

GOOD LUCK!! And happy dating!!!
