![]() Games!!
1. Write your first name.
Glove and Lolly Game
Divide the group in to 2 or 3 teams depending on the amount of people.
Then I give the first person in each team a pair of gloves (winter gloves in
winter - gardening gloves in the spring), and give each person in the team a
Starburst candy.
Treasure Hunt Before the party, list several things that would normally be found in the bottom of an average womans purse; ie - gum wraper, grocery receipt, paper clip, pen, deposite slip, etc. Make sure they are things that are not easily found right on top, as to make the race more interresting. You call out what it is that you want them to provide you with, and give ponts to the person who provied it first, and even the one who provides the most of that item. At the end, give a gift to the person with the most points, along with an award going to the most organized, person with the least points (for being so clean), and the person with the messiest purse at the party. Yuo wouldn't believe what some ladies will do to be the first; I watched one lady actuall take and throw her friends purse accross the room so she could win the race. They get excited, and start having fu, the will fell more comfortable, and all the better for you.
Christmas Left/Right Game I usually use one pretty wrapped package maybe two or three if it is a large group or if I really want to confuse'em (LOL) Explain the game before you begin by reading the following. Everyone sits in a circle, holding the gift. I will Read the story slowly enough for the gifts to be passed around. ( at this point I mention that it's ok to write on their hands to remember which is their right or left hand). Every time the word Right is read, everybody passes his gift to the right, Every time the word Left is read, everybody passes the gift he's holding to the left. The person holding the gift when the story ends gets to keep the gift. Christmas was almost here, and Mother Rgiht was finishing the christmas baking. Father Right, Sue Right, and Billy Right returned from their last-minute christmas errands. "There's not much Left to be done," said Father Right as he came into the kitchen. "Did you leave the basket of food at the church?" asked Mother Right. 'I Left it Right where you told me to," said Father Right. "I'm glad my shopping is done," said Billy Right. "I don't have any money Left." The hall telephone rang, and Susan Right Left to answer it. She rushed back and told the family, "Aunt Tillie Right Left a package for us Right on Grandma Right's porch. I'll go over there Right now and get it," she said as she left in a rush. Father Right Left the kitchen and brought in the Christmas Tree. By the time Susan Right returned, Mother Right, Father Right, And Billy Right had begun trimming the tree. The entire Right family sang carols as they finished the decorating. Then they Left all the presents arranged under the tree and went to bed, hoping they had selected the Right gifts for their family. Now I hope you have the Right present for yourself, because that's all that's Left of our story . . . except to wish you a Merry Christmas . . . Isn't that Right?
Boy I was just looking - This was written in 1987. Enjoy it everyone.
