Here's  My DINO Character model, for you to download and use for non-commercial purposes - this was my first attempt at using MetaNURBs in Lightwave 3D.  The file format is 3DS because I figured there's more 3D apps around that can load a 3DS, and not as many that can load LWO.  If you want the LWO, let me know, but the 3DS loads fine fine into Lightwave (just remember to flip faces and change surfaces from double sided to single sided).

If you want the MetaNURB cage - EMAIL me and I might put it up - the low poly cage would be much easier to modify - and since I never really finished this guy (still needs eyelids etc) - maybe you might want to show me what you can do with him...

Let me know what formats you want these models in...

Here's  a cartoony Penguin I made end of 1998, It's very similar to the one I created in a competition a while back. We didn't get our files back yet, so I just re-created this guy from memory, and since we weren't allowed to make any sketches etc in the competition - he's probably a bit different from the original. Oh, and in case you're wondering, here's some Competition info:
In the QANTM
Renderama competition we could create whatever we wanted with the following rules -
* Work-time starts at 8am and finishes at 4pm
* Render time starts at 4pm and finishes at 6pm
* Animations must be exactly 15 seconds long
* Only use Lightwave 3D, 3D Studio MAX and    ACDSee software. All other software is off limits.
* No external data is allowed... including sketches, notes, books, tapes, disks, etc.

In the competition, I gave myself 2 hours for modeling - which means I created the penguin in about 1 1/2 hours, since I had to make some other stuff.
Making this guy for the second time, I think took me about 2 hours - he's a little bit different (beak and eyes).

Here's a preview of another character I'm making - which is why this one isn't available for download yet, It's not yet finished... and I don't have very much time at the moment...    But as you might have guessed it's going to be a cartoony Bear. You also might have noticed I used the penguin as a starting point ;) I've only spent about 30 minutes on this one so far...
